PART-TIME FASHION RETAIL & E-COMMERCE ASSOCIATE

edit. BY ELAINE TURNER is seeking a motivated, resourceful individual to join our luxury contemporary women’s boutique in Houston. This hands-on role combines e-commerce support, merchandising, client service and special events.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys both the digital side of the business and the personal connections that make boutique shopping special. College seniors, recent graduates and entry-level candidates eager to build a career in fashion are welcome to apply.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the backend of our Shopify website.

  • Enter new inventory, product information and imagery into our systems.

  • Assist our Digital Content Director with website and e-commerce updates.

  • Support digital merchandising and day-to-day technology needs.

  • Learn our selling process and occasionally assist clients on the sales floor.

  • Represent edit. BY ELAINE TURNER at special events and holiday pop-ups throughout Houston.

  • Assist with merchandising, inventory management and other operational projects as needed.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new digital platforms.

  • Organized, detail-oriented and dependable.

  • Proactive, resourceful and adaptable.

  • Confident and professional with clients, with strong communication skills and a thoughtful approach to customer service.

  • Passionate about fashion, retail, merchandising and e-commerce.

  • Collaborative and enthusiastic about contributing to a small entrepreneurial team.

Shopify experience is a plus, but a strong aptitude for technology and a willingness to learn are most important.

You’ll work closely with Elaine and the team, gaining firsthand experience across e-commerce, sales, merchandising, inventory and events. It’s an opportunity to contribute to an independent Houston fashion business while developing skills for a long-term career in fashion.

Schedule & Growth

Approximately 15–20 hours per week, with some flexibility. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be needed for special events and holiday pop-ups.

This position has the potential to grow into a full-time role with increased responsibilities and compensation, based on performance, business needs and mutual fit.
